Prezi

This Web 2.0 tool allows you to create, store and present your ideas on live online. You can group ideas, link them to each other, add photos and videos from YouTube and more. It is free to educators who have a school email and a school website. Visit the Prezi manual for help creating a Prezi.

Animoto

A fun way to present using more images than text. Very easy to do! Make sure to sign up for the educator package to get longer "animotos". The hardest part is picking out the pictures.

VoiceThread

This is a great way to post an image, video, document or audio clip and have your students post their thoughts about it. They can post their thoughts via text, audio or video. They can doodle on the subject as they talk. Then the rest of the class can click on any students picture/icon and see what they think.

Creative Commons

A place to go for copyright free images, photos and videos. People can license their work a few different ways so others can use them. Go to this site, type in a search word, go to advanced search, choose your content, media, date range and then select creative commons only. Each picture will tell you how to site the work.
